Bedtime story

Once upon a time there was a certain speck of dust One day it went out into the wide world for to seek it's fortune. It was a brave speck of dust, indeed it was.

Careening through the air, twirling and dancing, it was blown by a down draft. It was blown down. Down, down, down, it fell.

It descended for a long time, and then landed on a curiously hard surface. It felt around itself, but the surface was so hard and unyielding, and curiously, it was clear as well.

Then the surface which that tiny speck of dust was on moved up and down. A large white kleenex wiped the dust off the cold surface. The dust was blown away. Perhaps it still falls even now.

And far away, so far as to be in another universe entirely, Lauren put her glasses on.
