"every perfect gift comes from above..."
as I reflect on the past year, (some major changes have occured, all for the better) I realize that God is SO good, and faithful to even me, the least faithless of his followers...
Also even though "All the good music has already been written by people with wigs and stuff." (Frank Zappa, whoever that is) God has blessed me by helping me further develop my musical gifts. This is so cool, and I'm so excited to see what will happen. This coming year, I don't want to sigh longingly after fame or a record deal, but use my talents for God no matter what that entails (even if it means giving them up on occaison). This goes for my other talents too...
For some light-hearted larks, I thought up a list of Blogging new years resolutions:
1) not to post more than 3 times a week
2)not to post depressing thoughts unless they turn out to be good
3) not to post about monkeys
4) to post about how good Jesus is
5) to post at least 12 (one per month) random topic posts (the January one will be about People Who Don't Know Me, But I Know Them) (sounds a wee bit stalker-ish, eh?)
6) To post comments on other peoples blogs, especially, but not limited to the following: Everyone on my list -> thataway
7) to use random expressions like "a wee bit" and "as fluffy as a cardboard monkey" and "eh?"
8) Post good song lyrics, including ones I've written
9) make "abstract poetry" archive posts (old blog)
10) make "Whirlwind..." archive posts
11) not to make too long posts
12) not to use the words: amazing, cool, good, bad, said, obvious, really, !
oops. already broke #11, and, come to think of it, #12. this bodes well, doesn't it?
you guys are peachy and I look forward to seeing you in 2005!
