...Radiant beams...
At the Women's dessert last night, we sang this song. It was beautiful to hear, in three parts, women lovingly singing each word, treasuring each phrase. We can never go wrong singing a song full of hope like this one. And I never have realized it before, but this song will never grow old. Even though it probably wasn't true. I mean, who ever heard that birth was a quiet sort of thing? But it reflects the peace we should be holding in our hearts. The peace of Jesus, that heavenly, heavenly peace.
Don't just read this. Sing it to yourself (it was meant to be sung). Know the truth of it. Don' t be embarassed. After all, it's Christmas.
Silent Night, Holy Night
All is calm, All is bright
'Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent Night, Holy Night
Shepards quake at the sight
Glory streams from heaven afar
Heavenly host sing alleluia
Christ the Saviour is born
Christ the Saviour is born
Silent Night, Holy Night
Son of God, Love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
with the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord at thy birth
Jesus Lord, at thy birth
