Tuesday-yadseuT

Tuesday began with a shower.

Usually this is a good way to start one's day, but I was late. Late! So, after I hastily pulled a comb through my tangles and swept my dripping locks into a bun, I grabbed my purse and left the house. Interestingly enough, as soon as I drove into the school parking lot, I beheld a flock of screaming cheerleaders jumping up and down on a pickup truck. Bypassing the obvious initiation, I succeeded in parking really, really badly in front of the yelling cheersquad and running inside to jazz choir.

To make matters worse, I was wearing a skirt. It happened to be my favorite skirt, but that did not abrogate the coldness of my legs, and the fact that I had to sit with my legs clamped together all period. I don't like wearing skirts to school.

Well, jazz choir passed, as it invariably and sadly does. I wended my way (read: struggled against the cold, wet wind, across the muddy track, after being stopped by a friend who exclaimed "Lauren! You're wearing a skirt? You?!) to my second period class. After the usual announcements, and the Practica Diaria de EspaƱol , I none-too-regretfully said "Adios" to my teacher and left the classroom. Intent on keeping my skirt down in the wind, it wasn't until I was in the parking lot that I realized how convenient it was that my piano adjudication was during my two least favorite classes.

(Because this is longer than I anticipated and I'm tired, I shall regretfully say yet again:) To Be Continued...
