It is finished!
If you can, stretch your minds back to March 2nd, when I posted the following: "I'm writing something unusual. It's a secret (when I finish, I'll tell you about it). But I'm so excited, I just had to mention it!"
I'm done with it, but still so excited, I can hardly type for the wonder of it.
I have written a choral piece! It is in 4/4 time, for unaccompanied SATB, in the key of F# major. There are some lovely, full-sounding chords. I took these words as my text (and so it is only fitting that I completed it right before Easter): "Be not afraid," the angel said. "He is not here; he is risen! Alleluia, he has arisen!"
I eagerly await the day when I can hear voices sing it, instead of my piano fumblings...
Praise God for his gifts of music and creation! He has given me so much joy through this!
