Memorial

I spent this weekend in the sun, contemplating the end of school in a week and a half. On Friday, I went to Folklife for the first time. In spite of the clouds of smoke and crowds of inebriated & high people, I had a good time.

On Saturday, I drank a milkshake and constructed a 12-tone matrix for Webern's lied The Heart's Purple Eagle Flies by Night (No joke). And my sisters came to stay the night on Sunday, and we tooled around downtown on Monday.

I've been thinking about free will and fate, consumerism, creation, the goodness of God, and pain. Some of the thinking might come out soon. I hope it does. I am feeling the advent of a season of output.

And soon I'll be home, soon I'll be home
.
