Hi all,
It's been six years since I started this blog.
A long time.
Too long, perhaps.
I've been thinking about it for a while, and have come to the conclusion to stop blogging for a while, and to stop altogether on this site.
...
Completely unrelated.
When God speaks to Job, he never addresses the charges Job has leveled against him.
And all Job does at the end is "repent in dust and ashes."
Even though Job hadn't blasphemed God in his sufferings.
He'd complained a lot, and questioned, and been bitter, but he didn't renounce God.
And still he repents.
Because he isn't the point anymore.
...
Nothing.
I am nothing.
(without God)
This is rather hard for me to think about seriously.
It's true, though,
and I give thanks to him for it
and for many other things.
...
It's been a swell six years, my friends.
I'll see you around,
Lauren
